Google wanted to understand what trends in travel had emerged after the pandemic and these could influence travel app development in the future.
Approach
MTM conducted a meta-analysis of existing trend reports and industry outlets, alongside 10 expert interviews with industry futurists, commentators and brand leaders. We used this input to produce a framework of macro-drivers, technological innovations, and consumer trends that will influence app development in the future.
Outcome
This trends report provided travel app developers with tangible recommendations for how to adapt mobile apps to meet future consumer needs and behaviours.
