B2B Research Manager (quantitative)

We’re looking for a quantitative Research Manager for the B2B Research team.
The B2B team works on mixed methods projects. This role will primarily work on quantitative projects; however, there is potential opportunity to work on qualitative or integrated quant/qual projects as well. We’re one of the fastest growing parts of the business, continuing to win new and exciting work with different clients and different types of projects. Our specialities are in Tech (SaaS, telecoms, software developers) and Media (marketing & advertising, social media). This role currently sits within and works closely with the Commercial Strategy team (made up of the B2B research team, Strategy consultants and the specialist software Developer Marketing team).

    • Lead small/medium bespoke research and insights projects, and support Directors on large-scale projects
    • Deliver concise analysis and engaging outputs
    • Play a key role in brainstorm and execution, both at the beginning of the project for questionnaire/discussion guide design; and on the back-end with analysis, story-boarding, and reporting
    • End-to-end project management – manage timelines, deliverables and budgets across MTM’s field and data suppliers and by liaising with colleagues
    • Demonstrate confidence and experience in client communications and presentations
    • Quantitative tasks include: attending briefing meetings, background/desk research, interviewing client stakeholders, preparing questionnaires and stimulus, checking quantitative survey scripts and data tables, liaising with fieldwork and data processing suppliers, liaising with statisticians, quantitative analysis, reporting in a variety of formats (e.g. PPT, Word, Google Slides), and presenting to clients. With opportunities to work across qualitative and mixed method projects end-to-end
    • Coach and mentor junior researchers on research best practices
    • Contribute towards our growth by helping with proposals and/or new business activities
  • All projects are designed bespoke to the needs of our client’s brief, following consultation with them about their business and research objectives.  We take a method neutral approach using a range of traditional and cutting edge methods – whatever is best suited to the job.

    Examples of this team’s exciting work include:

    • Fueling the brand equity and communications strategy for a leading design software company, understanding the needs of core and stretch audiences
    • Brand health trackers for a global tech company to help them improve their product marketing for a portfolio of developer products
    • Thought leadership studies with widely published white papers to explore CX trends, digital Out-Of-Home (OOH) advertising, and many more
    • Quantitative research experience from within a research agency
    • B2B experience preferred, but not essential; understanding and interest in B2B required
    • Experience or interest in the tech or media sectors
    • Extensive experience in writing screeners and questionnaires
    • Practical experience or knowledge of a range of data analysis and statistical techniques
    • Experience with Q, or an openness to learn (training provided)
    • An impactful storyteller who excels at simplifying, educating and inspiring
    • Excellent written and visual skills with a flair for simplicity (plus flair for data visualisation)
    • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills; intellectually curious
    • A desire, and ability to cultivate client relationships – answering questions before they ask & able to pick out the nuances of clients’ business challenges
    • Attention to detail with exceedingly high quality standards
    • Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously and consistently meet deadlines
